Kitten Takes Her Sick Baby To The Hospital And Waits To Be Treated

The medical staff rushed to help them and the story is just beautiful.

Recently, photos taken in the emergency room of an Istanbul hospital made a round of social media. Photos shared by Merve Özca on Twitter show a cat taking her sick kitten to the human hospital Paramedics can be seen surrounding the poor mother cat and stroking her.

Fortunately, the Turks are known for their love and respect for stray animals and they gave the cats the necessary help. The kitten is now fine and no CT scans were required.


Shared by thousands of people on Turkish social media and appreciated by over 82k people on Reddit, the story made many hearts feel warm. In photos shared on Twitter, a baby kitten is seen being taken by her mom to the human emergency room. “Today we were in the hospital emergency room when a cat rushed to bring its offspring in its mouth,” wrote Merve Ö then, who originally shared the photos.


Turkish media reports that doctors immediately intervened and checked the kitten for obvious health issues. The cat was following her baby and did not lose sight of him.

Local media write that while taking care of the baby, the doctors gave his mother some milk and food to make her feel more relaxed and comfortable. Turks have long been known for their love and care for stray animals, with many leaving food and water on the streets.


Fortunately, as reported by the Turkish media, both cats appeared to be fine, but were still directed to the vet just to make sure the mother and kitten duo are in good health.


People on Reddit praised paramedics and hospital staff at the Istanbul hospital for their kind actions. Some also recalled their own stories where people helped animals in need. “This happened in my hometown with a cat from birth. He had trouble and walked to the hospital and started meowing. They helped her and now she is the pet of the doctor who called the vet, ” shared a Reddit user.
